As a student, you need your own home insurance, as you are no longer covered by any policies held by your parents when studying elsewhere. Studentbostäders home insurance protects you against the most common causes of claims, for instance:

• fire and water damage
• burglary or vandalism
• liability insurance
• travel insurance for 45 days (if you are not nationally registred the travel insurance is valid only in Sweden.)
• insurance against unforeseen events maximum amount SEK 50.000.

You get a full-value policy

That means you don´t need to worry about how much your belongings are worth. If an accident occurs, you will never be underinsured.
