TENANT

Safety and security

Important to feel safe

It is important to feel safe in your home and in the area you live in. You as a tenant can help to increase both safety and security for yourself and your neighbors.

If your neighbour is disturbing

What can you as a tenant do? We recommend you to try and solve the problem with a polite conversation with your neighbour. This is often the easiest way to solve things. But if you’ve tried this and it hasn’t helped, or if you for any reason want to contact your neighbour you just call our office.
If you need to report a disturbance after office hours, please call our "Disturbance watch" at 013-14 84 44. The name of the person making the complaint will not be divulged. But you have to give us your name and phonenumber when you make the phone call to us.

What does Studentbostäder?

Studentbostäder has dedicated staff who work with serious or repeated interference. If they get an complaint or an interference report, they always contacts the tenant who cause the disturbance.
Communication begins with a information about what is perceived as disturbing. If repeated or particularly serious disturbances, they will send a formal letter of warning. If the disturbing continues, it could lead to termination of the contract.

Some simple rules of consideration

- Please do not hammer nails or drill into the walls during the evening and night.
- Avoid large-scale water flushing from washing machines and showers in the middle of the night and so on.
- Music must not be played at such a high volume so as to cause a disturbance. This rule holds for both day and night.
- If you're having a party, please inform your neighbours in good time. It is then easier for them to overlook any disturbances that might occur. When throwing a party, remember that your floor is someone else's ceiling.
