Our student accommodation in Lambohov is largely made up of two-storey blocks arranged around small courtyards to create a homely feel. Tröskaregatan is popular for its peace and perhaps most of all for its proximity to Campus Valla. The apartments themselves are light and airy, and cleverly designed, while each block has its own laundry and many also have a common room.

Right next to the student accommodation is Lambohov's local shopping centre, which will meet most of your everyday needs, with its well-stocked supermarket, health centre, pharmacy, library, newsagent, restaurant, bicycle repair shop, shoe repair shop and hair salon. The area has a good, regular bus service to the university, and to the city centre and bus/train station, when the weather isn't great for cycling.

“The apartment is light and smartly decorated”

Stina shares a three-room apartment in Lambohov with her brother, and likes being so close to the Campus and the local shopping centre.

Name: Stina Waldmann
From: Vetlanda
Lives in: A three-room apartment in Lambohov

Just as Stina was about to start studying at Linköping, her brother's flatmate moved out and the room in their apartment in Lambohov became available.

It must have been great to have your accommodation sorted out so easily?
"Yes, I didn't have enough points with Studentbostäder, so moving in with my brother was ideal. Now we're both in the queue and collecting points so eventually we can each move into our own place."

What's the apartment like?
"It has three rooms, which is ideal for sharing, and it's really light and smartly decorated."

What did you know about Linköping before you came here?
"I knew the city quite well because my brother and many of my friends have been living here for a while, so I was sure I'd like it here."

What's it like living in Lambohov?
"It's really close to the university, which is fantastic. And of course right next-door we have Lambohov shopping centre and the Coop supermarket. The downside is probably that it's quite a way into town, but there are buses if you don't want to cycle."
