What we will offer

Studentbostäder, Stångåstaden and St Kors will build 183 student apartments, 31 regular apartments and commercial premises by the square in Vallastaden. A number of the student homes will be built according to a new concept which involves student architects and their designs. This has resulted from an architects competition run by Studentbostäder. The winning architect will have the chance to turn their designs into reality.
The preliminary date for moving in is estimated to be in August 2017.

Premiere for the brand new Valla Living Quarter.
A Student collective with extra everything.

The brand new Valla Living Quarter is the future Student home. A concept that offers unique possibilities to create a lovely community and  rewarding student life. Vallastaden 2017

Vallastaden in 2017 will be the subject of a Home & Society Expo that hopefully will generate great interest both nationally and internationally.    For six weeks the Expo will be open for visitors from the general public, the press, politicians, and other interested groups. For those people that have decided to make their home in the Expo area there awaits a fun and eventful Expo period. A fantastic chance to be part of Linköping's history and future dreams.

More information about the project can be found at Vallastaden 2017.

Architecture that sticks out

Variation is a key word in Vallastaden. The project is in different ways special and innovative. The area will also be known for its spectacular outdoor environment with extraordinary planting, stone coverings, lighting and architect-designed pedestrian bridges over the Smedstads stream. Car use will be minimised by clever solutions in the form of an indoor carpark and carpool. In close proximity of the homes only short stay car parking will be permitted.

Location and service

The new district is being developed between Vallaskogen and Lambohovsleden, close to the university and within cycle distance to Mjärdevi, the hospital and the city centre. Both excellent bus connections and cycle paths make living in Vallastaden very easy.

Building to the left will become student housing.

This will become a one room apartment, 21 square meter.

 Cycle ramps into the houses.
