We are happy that you plan to start studying in Linköping and we want to congratulate you on a good choice. If you are looking for accomodation in the autumn, you will find all the information below that may be good for you to know.
First of all – register in our housing queue
You can register in our housing queue from the day you turn 17. If you are a foreign student, you can apply for housing immediately after you have received your admission letter. Register in the housing queue.
This is how you look for accomodation
As soon as you have registered, you start collecting queue points and can start looking for accomodation.

Priority for those admitted to autumn semester 2025
To make it easier for you to find accommodation as a newly admitted student, as a person registered outside the municipality of Linköping, you have priority in our accommodation queue. For applicants with priority, it is the person with the highest amount of queue points who receives an offer of accommodation.
If you have received an offer for a corridor room, it is important that you accept it as you are no longer entitled to receive further offers with priority if you decline.
To increase your chances of getting accommodation in the autumn, it is important that you are active in your application and make 5 expressions of interest at each publication.
The priority applies to:
• For corridor rooms with move-in dates 1 August – 1 October.
• For those who are not registered in Linköping and live outside Linköping municipality
• For those who have been accepted to Linköping University for the first time or have previously been accepted but have not taken any points
• For accomodation that are published with special information about priority.
Important dates regarding priority
• Between the period July 10 – October 1, we continuously publish available corridor rooms that are reserved for students with priority.
• The priority applies to newly admitted students during the period 1 August – 1 October
Here below are examples of how publication takes place during the summer:

Accomodation with priority is published according to the example above right up until October 1. It follows our normal Thursday – Monday and Sunday – Thursday posting intervals.
It is important that you contact us as soon as possible during this period if anything is unclear regarding your expression of interest, your offer or the signing of your contract.
Please note that accomodation without priority also are published continuously during this period.
In case of any cancellations for corridor rooms, they will be published on July 29 between 10:00 and 14:00. Cancellations will be called out after 14:00 the same day.
