Cleaning when moving out

You have to clean your home when moving out. Do not forget to fix plug holes in your walls. You can pick up putty at [hg] in Ryd.

Cleaning the kitchen

  • Clean the outside and inside of the stove. Pull the stove out from the wall and clean the walls, floor and the sides. Do not forget to clean the oven plates and grilles. Also clean the oven, fan and fan filter. Sometimes it is good to give the stove a good dose of detergent so it is easier to clean it the day after.
  • Defrost the freezer but do not try to remove the ice by force. A tip is to put a pot of hot water in the freezer so the ice melts faster. Remember to put an oven plate or something simial underneath the freezer to catch the water. Use the drain plug to direct the water. Do not leave the freezer unattended. Wipe it clean after you are done and leave the door open to ventilate.
  • A proper cleaning of the sink and cutting board is needed. Wash and dry the cabinets inside and out. Do not forget the tile and remove any custom set up decor. Wipe floors, walls and ceilings.

Bathroom cleaning

  • The toilet seat must be cleaned on the inside, outside and in the bend. Use a mild detergent on the sink. Do not forget to clean the underside of the sink and the pipe.
  • Use mild detergent for the shower or bathtub. if you have a bathtub, remove the frond of the bathtub and clean underneath. Scrub the walls and floor. Remember to clean the floor drain.

Cleaning of other rooms

  • Wipe the windows– on the outside, inside and in between. Clean carpentry, blinds and elements. It tends to be really dirty behind them. You wipe floors and molding, as well as interior doors (do not forget the top edge).
  • Clean out cupboards and closets. Wipe shelves and trays, electrical outlets and switches. Finish with walls and ceilings.
