We’re preparing for new waste sorting rules

We’re currently preparing for new legal requirements for waste management that will take effect on January 1, 2027. The goal of the new rules is to increase sorting and reduce residual waste. One key change is that food waste and residual waste must be sorted into separate bins going forward. To make this work, we need to update some of our recycling rooms and other waste solutions. In some areas, these changes have already started, but for most of you they will take place during the autumn.

We’re changing banks – New bank giro number for your rent payments

As part of the Linköping Municipality Group, we are changing banks. Starting with the rent invoice sent out in Nowember 2025 (the rent for December), rent payments should be made to a bank giro instead of a plus giro account. The new bank giro number will be clearly stated on your rent invoice.

Studentbostäder has procured a new service provider for the broadband network. The new operator, Telia, will take over responsibility from June 1, 2025. The change of platform will take place in stages during the summer.

Three corridors in Ryd have been given a new look

We have recently renovated three corridors in Ryd and are now testing an exciting new concept. At Rydsvägen 246, a total of 24 corridor rooms in three corridors have been given a completely new look and feel, as well as more comfortable features. The renovated rooms are equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, and freezer compartment.

2500 solar panels installed in the student area in Valla

Irrblosset is a student area in Valla with approximately 800 student apartments. Now, 2500 solar panels have been installed on the roofs in the area. The panels will generate 800,000 kWh – which is equivalent to household electricity for about 500 student apartments.
